Overview

Bridge is an IT solution designed to overcome the difficulties that are still encountered in applying the Project Control discipline to Projects characterized by a large number of players involved.

Bridge is able to support with the same efficacy:

-  The Engineering and Construction Companies/General Contractors in the management of their projects both to customers and to suppliers and subcontractors;

-  The Owners (public and private)in the management of their investment projects both in the initial evaluation of the expected profitability and in the implementation phase. 

The solution was developed over the last fifteen years as an evolution of SNC, a software solution made in the US to meet the operational needs of O'Brien & Kreitzberg, since the 90’s in the first place in the international ranking of the Project and Construction management companies.

Over time, the functional characteristics of the original solution have been enhanced to satisfy the needs expressed by the most advanced Italian Engineering and Construction companies.

Bridge has been designed with two targets:

-  to support a "proactive" Planning and Control process, aimed at inducing in operational structures (internal and external) actions to achieve their objectives (Scope, Time, Profitability);

-  to support a set of processes of Planning and Control within all the active Projects (Portfolio) with the aim of improving the overall performance of the company.

Bridge is integrated with most popular Scheduling Systems (MS-Project and Primavera) and with ERP Systems already present in large companies. It is a proven solution of Enterprise Project Control in situations characterized by an high level of complexity.

Bridge makes possible:

-  to acquire, process and distribute the information located on Enterprise Information Systems (ERP, Scheduling, etc.);

-  to integrate the information acquired from other Enterprise Information System with information that is not present on them (flying infos).

-  to facilitate the daily activities carried out by people engaged in the Planning and Control of Operational departments (Engineering, Procurement and Construction).

Bridge assists the entire community of an organization in Planning and Control activities. It can be used at very different levels of intensity, depending on the complexity of Projects handled and on the depth of control desired.

In Enterprise contexts the solution can be implemented gradually, starting from the implementation of a single functional module (i.e. cost estimating) in a pilot project and continuing step by step with the subsequent activation of other modules to the entire portfolio of the company's projects (both "ongoing" and "expected").
